ASKED QUESTIONS
What are different levels of training?
• Practitioner
• Business Practitioner
• Masters
• Trainer
Who typically takes NLP Practitioner Training?
Participants include people in the fields of health (mental, emotional,
physical and spiritual), business, education, the arts, sales, computer
programming, etc. and many people in the process of redefining or
changing careers or lifestyle. These people are motivated to learn
life skills that will go well beyond their present personal and professional
competencies.
What if I want to learn NLP for my own personal transformation
and am not interested in being a Practitioner?
While there are many people in the Practitioner training who take
the course with the idea of practicing NLP professionally, most of
the people who take the course are in it for their own personal development.
How many people will there be in a typical class?
In our NLP Practitioner Certification Training we typically have
12 participants.
How can I know the quality of the training ?
The quality of an NLP training is obviously only as good as the
quality and expertise of its trainers. And since all NLP trainers
are not the same we suggest using your own eyes, ears and feelings
to make your final determination. There are many opportunities to
meet the trainer in action; she contributes to Gulf News, Latest
magazine and All Woman magazine regularly, and you can set up an
individual meeting with Beryl herself for some NLP guidance.
Please keep in mind
NLP trainers as well as NLP Practitioners come from a variety of
both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds, including, psychology,
education, business, the performing arts, computer programming and
medicine. Each brings to the training not only their own professional
background, but their personality, humour, practical applications
and spirit. You all know from your school days that the same material
presented by one teacher may be quite different from that of another. We
also know that while two doctors may have the same knowledge, their
values, beliefs, personalities and ways of caring for their patients
may vary greatly. Spending some time learning about the NLP
trainers with whom you will be spending well over 30 hours and a
significant monetary investment is time well spent.
Can I speak with people who have accredited your training?
Yes! Contact the website of www.nfnlp.com and
you can read more about the course, accreditation
How long has your training center been around?
Beryl was the first person to bring NLP training to Dubai. She has
been training for over 20 years, and running NLP certified trainings
since 1996.
NFNLP have been offering certification training in Neuro-Linguistic
Programming since 1986.
What happens if I miss a class?
While we ask that you do all you can to attend the entire training,
there will be a number of ways you can "make" up a given
class. An audio tape of the topic you missed may be available, or
you can attend the class at a future or parallel training.
What do I get when I finish an NLP Practitioner Certification
Training?
After demonstrating behavioural competencies of the NLP skills you
will receive a certificate indicating that you are an NFNLP Practitioner. You
can use the title, Practitioner of NLP, in advertising yourself and
will be recognized by NFNLP for membership at the Practitioner Level.
We strongly recommend that if you intend to practice NLP with others
that you complete the NLP Master Practitioner Training to get the
full range of skills and tools needed to work with a variety of individuals. We
hope to offer on-going post master practitioner training to keep
you skills finely tuned.
Are there any prerequisites?
The only prerequisite is curiosity and a commitment to respecting
(not necessarily agreeing with) your fellow participants "models
of the world".
What is emphasized in your training?
What makes our center unique is our trainer, Beryl Comar. With
a background in overseas life, extensive travel, business, education
and brings together a unique blend of knowledge, skills, expertise
and empathy.
Beryl sees NLP as something one does "with" people and
not "to" them. She has a great respect for the power
inherent in the uses and misuses of the NLP technology and models
this respect both on an off "the playing field". People
can misuse any tool and NLP is no different: there is a significant
difference between using NLP to have power over people and using
NLP to have power over your own life. Beryl promotes and models
the latter.
Beryl also emphasizes the many ways we can heal ourselves and create
healthy patterns of relating to others and the world around us. Beryl
is married to a General Practitioner and respects both the medical
and "alternative therapies. NLP is not just something she
does for a living; it is an integral part of her life.
